ive been on newgrounds for ages and since the age of about 11, i wanted to make cartoons. i did so on aniboom shapeshifter. but it was good enough for me back then. i have discovered you can make flash cartoons a couple of years back in school.

Hello there.
Unlike a lot of people on NG, I don't find myself bored with walls of text, unless that wall consists of gibberish or jargon (funny, because I'm on a course that involves programming, which literally seems like jargon to me right now.)
I don't think you should make movies and art solely for the sake of Newgrounds. Yes, there is mad creativity and talent here on this site, but a piece of art or an animation is going to turn out much better if YOU are happy with it. Like when I submitted my 1st piece of art here, I kept worrying about 'Oh, but will it be good enough for NG?', and since I was drawing it for a musician favourite on here, I worried whether she would like it also. So it was done in a rushed, unrelaxed way.
I haven't done much since, and I'm still a beginner at drawing, but whenever I practice drawing I try and immerse myself in it more, instead of thinking of the reactions of others.
I think it's great that you're doing an art course. I wish nowadays that I paid more attention in Art class back in secondary school, because it's suddenly become something that I want to improve on and be creative with.
I did some Flash back in college, although it was on a very basic level. Animation is rather fun, but I haven't done it in months.
I think you'll walk over GCSE English, personally. If you can write loads, then it's in the bag. At least, that's what I did in one of the exam papers.
I can't really say much on the subject of your university education and your financing methods. I myself had to get a loan from Student Finance, but university life will be cheaper for me since I'm living at home and accommodation costs are nonexistent.
Good luck with the platform game, I look forward to it. University is worth going to: I am in the first term of my first year, and although some of the information is a little overwhelming, I am really enjoying it and I reckon that I'm going to pick up a lot of skills here.
Anyway, take care, don't worry about English (you'll pass with flying colours), and I'll be sure to check out your movies and art. :)

wow thanks. your review helped me alot with thinking stuff through and it helps so much when theirs more people on newgrounds who have been through the same problems as me like you, its very inspirational. ill try my best at college and maybe go to university but one thing im not gonna give up with is making the best cartoons i can make so thanks alot. i never thought someone would read this post until today even though i made it a day ago so thanks a lot
